Another one of Duffy’s fantastic graphics of Australian Animals. Did you know the Red Kangaroo is the world’s largest marsupial? Or that it can jump at up to 56 kilometres in one hour? Or that it can leap 8 metres in a single bound? Or that they can jump up to 1.8 metres high (the height of a human adult)? The mass of an adult kangaroo is about 90 kg. Red kangaroos live in groups called mobs. Their babies are called joeys.
In 2000, over 1 million kangaroos were killed through accidents and also for commercial meat, including pet food.
